82nd Ave One-Offs

I developed a process for printing individual skateboards using acrylic paint and flexible Gelli plates. This process enables me to experiment with color, placement, and graphics without the minimums or cost issues typically associated with skateboard printing. It is impossible to print the same graphic twice, so each skateboard is a true "One-off," one of a kind. The graphics subvert logos and icons from the infamous 82nd Avenue in Portland, which is known in the city for its grit and crime. The collection brings pride and artistic optimism from one of the most notorious parts of Portland.
